We have just become members of London Zoo and Mstr L went last weekend. Despite still being a little poorly, he adored it. If you live in London it is so worth getting a membership as it really brings the cost down per visit (see here for membership details). See pics below taken by Mr A!
I have just been introduced to this genius company called ‘Kiddie Cubes‘. Set up by Issy, a lovely mother of three and a nutritional therapist, who designs delicious and nutritionally balanced recipes for weaning babies. Using only organic ingredients, the meals are gently cooked and fast frozen to retain the goodness and keep the fresh taste.
The packs come in Stage 1 (from 4 months) and Stage 2 (from 7 months) in flavours such as ‘Eat Your Greens’ – spinach, broccoli, courgette and peas, ‘Purely Apple, Blueberry and Apricot’, ‘Really Rooty’ – sweet potato, carrot and swede, ‘Cauliflower and Broccoli Cheese’ – cauliflower, broccoli, cheese and milk and ‘Creamy Leafy Fisherman’s Pie’ – salmon, cod, potato, peas, spinach and milk.
The zip sealed bags (each containing twelve 25g cubes) go directly into the freezer and you just take out however many you need at a time, pop them into the microwave, and hey presto.
Mstr M has just wolfed down some ‘Hearty Chicken and Veg Hotpot’ with some cous cous followed by some ‘Purely Apple and Pear Puree’ that I mixed with some natural yoghurt. He loved it and I even tried some too, so can vouch for the yumminess.
Currently available at Newlyns Farm Shop in Hampshire, but keep your eyes peeled, as they are sure to hit more shelves soon.
